The Tesla Model X is a sumptuous and innovative vehicle straight out of the future, but does it come with cup holders?
The Tesla Model X does come with cup holders – they’re located in the center console and are easily accessible. There are also cup holders located in the rear seating area for passengers to use.
Read on to learn more about the Tesla Model X and its specification.
Onwards With Electric
Tesla had a rocky beginning but they’ve quickly grown to become one of the most recognizable brands in the world. Their advancements in electrical engineering have stunned the world on numerous occasions.
From innovative vehicles to super-powered solar power, Tesla is trying to change the world one engineering marvel at a time. The organization was founded by South African entrepreneur Elon Musk in 2003.
Musk himself boasts an incredible history and an even more promising future. In 2020 his net worth was one hundred billion dollars, making him one of the world’s richest people.
He didn’t just create Tesla, but also SpaceX, The Boring Company, and PayPal, among others. His industrial and engineering knowledge was second to none, even back when he was a child.
The first Tesla car was released in 2008, the Roadster. This vehicle was completely electric and could rack up almost two hundred and fifty miles on a single charge.
As with many Tesla innovations since, it was a world-first – unprecedented.
Seven years later, the Tesla Model X was introduced into the ever-expanding lineup. Originally based on the Model S sedan, the Model X became one of Tesla’s first SUV models.
It’s equipped with a luxurious interior, falcon-wing doors, and a range of almost four hundred miles. In every aspect, the Model X is a lavish vehicle, and that’s reflected in the price.
In 2020, the Model X started at eighty thousand dollars for the entry-level specification.
Although, that entry-level electric marvel isn’t by any means basic. It comes equipped with autopilot features, an all-wheel-drive, and a 17-inch touchscreen display inside the car.
The touchscreen serves to complement the sumptuous interior. The carbon-fiber cup holders in the console, the premium leather seats, and the soft-touch materials throughout.
Reportedly, the Model X can go from zero to sixty in just 2.6 seconds. That makes it the fastest SUV on the planet. It’s also the most aerodynamically efficient SUV in the world.
Charged Competition
While the Tesla Model X might be at the top of the class, there are a few competitors. Many of the top-tier vehicle manufacturers are exploring the potential for electric vehicles, particularly SUVs.
One of the most popular is the Audi e-Tron, a considerably luxurious affair. It starts at around ninety thousand dollars and boasts a range of two hundred and fifty miles.
However, it’s considerably slower off the mark than the Model X. It takes around six seconds for the zero to sixty mark to be achieved.
Another German marvel on the list is the Mercedes-Benz EQC, which starts at around eighty thousand dollars. It’s armed to the teeth with the latest in modern technology and boasts a huge interior.
The competitor that nobody expected came in the form of the South Korean manufacturer, Hyundai. Their Kona Electric is said to be one of the most versatile and accessible electric cars on the market.
It starts at just thirty-five thousand dollars and comes with a very practical interior and build. While it’s nowhere near as advanced as the Tesla, Audi, or Mercedes, it does the job very well.
The Kona achieves around two hundred miles on a single charge and jumps from zero to sixty in just under ten seconds. However, for an entry-level electric car, it’s extremely affordable and looks very stylish.
There are even forays in the electronic and hybrid vehicle market by supercar manufacturers. In 2019, Lamborghini revealed their Sián, a V12 hybrid vehicle that could travel at more than two hundred miles per hour.
Ferrari also offered something to the table – an SF90 Stradale plug-in hybrid. This beast of a hybrid boasted 986 brake horsepower with a top speed of 211 miles-per-hour.
However, you’ll need a sizeable bank account if you want to hit these super-tier vehicles. The Lamborghini Sián is valued at more than three and a half million dollars.
